Our Story 

Buckeye's started out as BUCKEYE'S MISSION, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing animals that deserve a second chance at life. We pull primarily from crowded shelters. We then rehabilitate and nurture these animals. We build up their confidence, shower them with love and affection, and show them that there is still love and dedicated humans out there who will work tirelessly and selflessly for their welfare. These animals will then be re-homed when they are ready. With so many homeless animals, so many in need of rescue and not enough foster homes to go around, Buckeye's mom decided to purchase a property in Brunswick OH. She built a kennel on the property to house these rescue dogs and offer pet services to help fund the rescue. BUCKEYE'S MISSION TOO  was born.

Our Pet Service

Buckeye's Mission Too is a one stop full pet service. We offer boarding, daycare, training and grooming. A typical daycare visit includes group plays in our indoor and outdoor play areas, agility and ball fetching in our outdoor pens and swimming in the doggie pool (coming in summer). The purpose of Mission Too is to generate revenue to fund our rescue. Medical care and food are a few examples of our rescue needs. It also help maintain the sanctuary so that our rescue dogs will always have a place to call home until they find their forever families. We service the public. All breeds are welcome.

Our Sanctuary

Buckeye's Sanctuary is a 2.75  acre property that serves as a permanent home for those rescued dogs not fortunate enough to find their own forever families and for those undergoing rehabilitation and training to be re-homed.
